| I have already 15 names of members who are interested in having another company create a cast, machined alumiminum pan for the Z if the price is right. It has only been one day. It has been VTD twice so far. I guess some of the clich' here have something against having another choice besides SZ for a product. They want to keep others from having that free choice by VTD. How Nice. Many have expressed in their email that they would like a larger pan with baffles but were disinterested at the $650 level. Especially from what SZ was offering at that price using the existing pan. But they feared getting flamed on here by the so called SZ cliche. I never bashed SZ. I just don't think their price for that pan is reasonable. I can criticize a vendor's price on a product without bashing the vendor. Another member who said the price sucked got flamme just like me. Here are some emails sent to me.

I think it’s more than brand loyalty that’s keeping these guys from seeing your point. I admit to being very brand loyal, but that’s only after years of experience with a product. A lot of the guys on tt.net form their opinion based on what the big boys of their “clique” thinks. For years local guys have told me my 3” exhaust system was not as good as a 2.5” system. When asked why they could only say “because Greg Dupree said so” or quote things that he has said in the past. Now I don’t want to criticize Dupree or his products, rather the guys who blindly believed what he said simply because he’s been around for so long. I think that’s what you’re up against: popularity. I think that’s what happened to Abler’s manifolds, he was unpopular and all the cool guys liked the MS ones. The rest of the herd followed. I could be wrong about all this, what people think and type is pretty open to interpretation.
